The Chair Once there was this chair that everyone wanted. Why because it reminded them of their favorite video game consol, the Nintendo
Game Cube or GC. It looked like one but not exactly. It had its from and dimensions halved in feet. Instead of it being 6x6x4
it was 3x3x2. It did not look like the Game Cube but had its form, so when you looked at it, it said Game Cube. It came in
the colors that the game cube came in, jet black (black), Indigo (purple), and Platinum (silver). One day as boy and his father where shopping and the boy saw the chair, it was $199.99, like when the Game Cube came out.
The father loved his son very much, could not afford to get it and the Game Cube at the same time. So he asked his son what
did he want more the Game Cube or the Chair. The son said he wanted the Game Cube since it came with a free game. The father
said ok and told his son he will get him the chair some day.
The son was happy and enjoyed playing with his Game Cube and free game but asked his father when was he going to get the
chair for him. The father wanted to but every time he went to the store to get one, they where always sold out. He kept looking
but it was in vain. He checked on-line but the prices of the chair were more than he could afford. On all the on-line auction
they where more than twice or higher than the original sales price. The son kept asking so the father decided if he could
not buy one he could make one for his son. And that was what the father did. He first asked his son what color his son wanted. The son replied Jet Black to match his Game Cube and told his son ok.
The son was finally happy thinking that his father was going to finally buy him the chair. The father was very skilled and
could make almost anything since he was a skilled craftsman. The father when out and got some wood and fabric. He started
to build the chair secretly and told his son he was working on a surprise project. The son thought he knew what his father
was doing, but was not quite sure. The father kept building and then upholstered the chair.
When the chair was finished he showed it to his son. The two where both happy. The son was right he knew the chair was
hard to get, but there it was. The son asked how was it possible for his father to get two chairs. The father said it was
easy if he was as skilled as he was. The son said oh, and asked if he made the two chairs. The father confessed and said yes
he did make the chairs. The son said he thought so, he knew his father loved him so much that the chair he got from his father
would be more special than anyone else's, since his father made one for him. The father told his son that it was hard to get
the chair, but the son did not care. He had his chair and was happy that his father did this for him. They where both happy
and they played with the Game Cube together in there new chairs. The other kids also had chairs but did not understand what
made their chairs more special. But the son did not care since he knew his father loved him more than words could ever say. The End Dedicated to My Father: Mario Guevara
